About Dragon Taiji Academy.
What is Dragon Taiji Academy?
Dragon Taiji Academy is the online school of Naxo de la Encina, 7-time world Tai Chi champion. It offers a structured, progressive and accessible method for practitioners of all levels worldwide, combining on-demand video content with live sessions and in-person events.
Do I need prior experience in Tai Chi?
No experience is required. The programs are designed to be accessible from day one, starting with posture, breathing and movement fundamentals before progressing to more advanced content. You can start at any level.
In which languages is the content available?
The Academy is currently available in English and Spanish. New languages may be added in the future as the community grows.
Can I access the content from any device?
Yes. Dragon Taiji Academy is fully accessible from any device — desktop, tablet or mobile. All content is available 24/7 and requires no additional software or downloads.
Programs and content
How the content is structured.
What is a program?
A program covers a complete Tai Chi discipline — for example Taolu (forms), Tui Shou (push hands), Jibengong (fundamentals) or weapons. Each program is a complete learning path designed to take you from basics to advanced level.
What are modules and courses?
Within each program, content is organized into modules — for example beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert. Each module contains specific courses, and each course is made up of video lessons you can follow at your own pace.
How often is new content published?
New content is published every month across different programs. This ensures your practice always has something new to work on and you never reach a plateau in your learning.
Can I progress at my own pace?
Absolutely. All content is available on-demand and there are no deadlines or mandatory schedules. You decide when, where and how fast you train. The program structure is there to guide you, not pressure you.
Pricing
Plans and billing.
What plans are available?
There are two plans: Essential and Professional. The Essential plan gives full access to all courses and programs in the Academy. The Professional plan includes everything in Essential plus monthly in-person classes with Naxo. Both plans are available in 6 or 12 month periods.
Is there a contract or minimum commitment?
There are no contracts or automatic renewals. Plans are fixed 6 or 12 month periods. Once the period ends, your access expires and you can renew whenever you want.
What does the Essential plan include?
The Essential plan gives full access to all courses and programs in Dragon Taiji Academy for the selected period — all disciplines, modules and video lessons without restrictions. Ideal for practitioners who want to progress at their own pace.
What does the Professional plan include?
The Professional plan includes everything in the Essential plan plus in-person group classes with Naxo de la Encina — one per month during the subscription period (6 classes in a 6-month plan, 12 in a 12-month plan). For those who want to combine online training with in-person experience.
Workshops and events
In-person training with Naxo.
Where are workshops held?
Naxo teaches workshops and events in cities across Europe, Asia and America throughout the year. Each event has a specific location published in advance on the workshops page. Some events are also held in China, where students can train at the origin of the practice.
What does priority access mean?
When workshop registrations exceed capacity, Premium and Master subscribers always have priority over general registrations. This means your spot is secured before the event opens to the public.
Can I attend a workshop without a subscription?
Yes. Workshops and events are open to everyone, not just Academy subscribers. However, if capacity is limited, Premium or Master subscribers will always have priority access.
Account
Your account and profile.
How do I verify my email?
After registering, we will send you a verification email. Click the link to activate your account. If you don’t receive it, check your spam folder or request a new one from the login page.
How do I recover my password?
Go to the login page and click "Forgot my password". Enter your email and we will send you a password reset link. The link is time-limited for security reasons.
Can I change my username?
Yes. You can update your username, email, first name, language and time zone at any time from your profile settings.
